3Problem Reporting
The custom firmware is not coded by SmokeMonsterPacks or frederic-mahe, but please do report problems here at Github for support. It's unclear if games booted through a SD card due to this firmware hack will also upscale the games into HD.We should note that this is a hack, and not very legal so you risk looking into this subject deeper at your own risk.

Hi,
I just found out I'm going to be moving country in about 1 month. Would it be possible to put my shipping on hold, until I can provide you with an updated shipping address?
I will be moving from Japan to the UK.
Kind regardsHi,
Can I get an update on this, as I will be forced to file a chargeback if I do not hear back.
RegardsChris,
You send an email telling you are going to move to a different country but without giving any acurate information, what kind of answer were you expecting with such email ?
Now you send another email threatening with a chargeback. Again, what kind of answer are you expecting with such emails ?
Can´t you send an email giving acurate info so we can give you an answer ? one like that :
Hey, i am going to move to China, or Russia, or whatever you want to move to. Could you please change my shipping address to X and hold the shipment N days ?
We have no problem about holding a shipment back, or change the shipment address, but we can´t just wait for you to know where are you going to move at.

Konami's "Hyper Olympic Gentaiban!" is the first game to use hardware other than ROMs (not counting Family BASIC). The cartridge was made by Konami and uses some circuitry to allow 16 KB of CHR ROM, switching between two 8 KiB banks. Mappers were born. (edited)1985 September 27th
Jaleco released "City Connection", which uses the same circuit as Konami's above-mentioned CHR banking.1986 April
Bandai, Konami and Nintendo appear to start producing CNROM games almost simultaneously. It's an improvement over Konami's circuit that uses only one chip instead of two, at the cost of having bus conflicts.1986 April 17th
Sunsoft's "Atlantis no Nazo" appears to be the first cartridge that uses a dedicated mapper chip (as opposed to 74 series logic chips). Other companies follow this trend promptly.1987 April 14th
Seta's "Morita Shougi" appears to be the first game to use the Nintendo MMC1 mapper. It's also the first game cartridge with 8 KiB of PRG RAM and battery backup.“The price tag that we placed on the Nt Mini wasn’t just because it was in an aluminium shell – we had to charge that amount of money because that’s how much it took to be able to sustain ourselves as a business after investing that time, effort and money into producing something totally proprietary.”Mahjong Club (Japan).sfc

1Platforms - NS, 3DS, PS4, ...NS?
I thought NSW was the official Switch abbreviation.
2The team at Playmaji has spent a good amount of effort on a piece of technology called Active Cartridge Reading, an experimental subset of Hybrid Emulation that allows you to use any games or peripherals that work on a real classic console using a live blend of software-based emulation and memory mapped hardware. This technology, while it exists, is not yet fast enough for some of Polymega’s supported systems, and would result in a degraded overall experience if launched prematurely.
Now, support for game cartridges with on board DSP chips such as Everdrives, Starfox, or live-reading of devices like Game Genies is blended.
First, we’ve licensed standard DSP-compatible emulators for systems with those types of cartridges, which will allow games with special chips to be played via software emulation. That means you can now play backed up games such as StarFox and others regardless of whether you have the cartridge inserted, a convenience that most gamers will appreciate. We’ve also added a software-based Game Genie and Pro Action Replay as a reward level for supporting the console beyond its initial funding goals. The Super Game Boy is no longer compatible with the EM02 SNES SFC module, however, we have set up a GB / GBC / GBA module as an additional reward tier if reached.Second, certain systems are going to be FPGA based. The first example of this is going to be the dedicated Famicom module, which will be released after the launch of the system. Famicom is particularly important to be implemented in this manner as it included accessories such as the Famicom Disk System (FDS), which was a critical part of its library and one that we will not be creating a dedicated module for. The tech to support FPGA modules is built in to the launch version of the Polymega™ Base Unit, and we may continue to release other FPGA modules in the future. FPGA modules will have a slightly higher price point than standard modules.
This decision / change overall has freed up our team to focus on matters that more factually push the needle in terms of overall system compatibility, as evidenced by our recently-announced support for the Sega Saturn, adding over one thousand new compatible games to Polymega™. What made this possible is that by removing the larger size FPGA from the base unit, we were able to opt for a higher clock-speed dual core chip rather than a slower quad-core chip for the main CPU, which now opens up the door to more demanding systems like Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, and more — which is what many people have expressed to us that they wantThe official Polymega twitter tweeted this earlier (but it looks like they have since deleted the tweet):
"We'll release some videos soon but it's full speed thanks to our pal Ryphecha who implemented it."
This is referring to the Saturn emulator. Ryphecha is the lead for Mednafen, so it suggests that they use that emulator for all the systems that they support.

2HOW ARE BIOS FILES SUPPORTED ON POLYMEGA™ ?
Polymega™ features integrated HLE BIOS functionality for CD-based emulators, which provides coverage for the vast majority of games. You can optionally override HLE BIOS by placing alternative BIOS files on a USB Thumb Drive and importing them to the system using the BIOS override option in the Settings>Game & Interface screen. A list indicating compatible BIOS files will be provided prior to delivery of Polymega™, but the files themselves must be sourced elsewhere.WILL I BE ABLE TO DUMP MY ROMS ON POLYMEGA™ AND PLAY THEM?
While the direct importing of ROMs will not be supported, you can bet we want to find alternative, legal ways to bring classic gaming into your living room and respect the copyrights of publishers. In the interest of preservation and reducing wear and tear on your classic games, Polymega™ does allow you to backup cartridge and disc games you own from your personal collection via the console itself. You can play them without having to insert the games or matching module once installed.IS POLYMEGA™ 100% EMULATION?
For now, standard modules use standard emulation with low latency controller inputs. Certain modules in the future will release with an embedded FPGA that will allow extended compatibility with hardware accessories. The Super Game Boy is no longer compatible with the EM02 SNES SFC module, however, we have set up a GB / GBC / GBA module as an additional reward tier if reached.

Paper Waste
Based on volume, paper the largest element in American landfills. Normally, it takes 2-6 weeks for landfills to get completely decomposed. If we recycle paper items, we can easily save a lot of landfill space, while reducing the energy and virgin material requirements of making non-recycled paper.Generally speaking, good quality paper stored in good conditions (cooler temperatures; 30-40% relative humidity) are able to last a long time -- even hundreds of years.Greetings fellow retro gamers. I'm contacting you because you put your
name down to be notified when the RetroTINK 2X was made available (if
you didn't, or if you've changed your mind, please notify me right away
so I can remove your name from the list, GDPR and all that).
I've got good news. There's definitely a unit available for you in our
first batch, that's 100% guaranteed, an invitation will be coming your
way within the next couple of weeks and you will definitely be able to
buy a unit from us.Mega Sg is designed to play just about every pre-Saturn Sega game including Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, Mark III, SG1000, SC-3000 and more. The Mega Sg ships with a Master System adapter but the older machines will require a separate adapter which will be sold separately.“So what we want to do — and no promises on this; very critically, no promises on this — but ideally what I would love to do is just implement the fucking 32X in FPGA and then you don’t have to ever even use the 32X. You can use one of our simple cartridge adapters, you know, they don’t have any hardware and everything just runs in the Mega SG.
But it’s not that simple. “It takes a lot of time to do those systems from scratch,” Taber explains. “32X is a whole other level. So we’d have to sink a big chunk of time into just doing that one. And it would have to be a balance of how many people are really interested in it versus how much time it’s going to take.”"think"Mega Sg is not a plug n' play toy. Compatible with the 2,180+ Sega Genesis, Mega Drive and Master System game cartridge libary.

Wow, it's like they took an investor pitch deck and animated it for four minutes - now that i think of it that reminds me of the "famous" Duke Nukem Critical Mass trailer
Oddly, many of the games on the PlayStation Classic were the European versions. When I booted up Final Fantasy VII, for example, I got the classic “Licensed By Sony Computer Entertainment of America” splash screen. But when I ran Battle Arena Toshinden, Grand Theft Auto, or Tekken 3, the screen said “Licensed By Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.”The reset button throws you out of any particular game and into the PlayStation Classic's main menu, while the eject button is used to change discs in games that are split across several CD-ROMs, such as Final Fantasy 7.10 TB

1Moving onto the PAL titles, the situation worsens. Tekken 3 does indeed run at 83.3 per cent of its intended speed, but more than that is the fact that a 50Hz gameplay is dropped into the Classic's 60Hz output, giving obvious judder. Looking at raw video captures, every sixth frame is a duplicate - there isn't even the rudimentary frame-blending used in PAL PS2 Classics running on PlayStation 4. In fact, Tekken 3 also includes regular 50ms frame-time spikes - two dropped frames in succession, something that shouldn't happen.
1The emulator is indeed PCSX-reArmed slightly modified but on a very old base, very badly optimized and badly implemented likely due to a lack of timeChanging disc (video here if needed):
When the game asks you to change disc, open Retroarch menu (start+select) then go to Quick Menu > Disk Control.
Click once on Disk Cycle Tray Status to simulate the opening of the CD drive, then select the correct disc in Disk Index, and finally click once again on Disk Cycle Tray Status to close the virtual CD drive.
Go back to Quick Menu and select Resume, the correct disc should now load :)

Unlike most Meganet titles, it ran through Ai-System's independently-run paid service, which continued to be operational well after Sega's own Meganet service was discontinued.Well, the main kanji used to refer to the game in Japan is 碁 which is pronounced go. The i- 囲 is a prefix which means "surrounding" and is not just used with the game of Go but is also used with other composite words -- sometimes with the alternate pronunciation kako especially when used as a verb -- such as ijou 囲繞 (surrounding/enclosure), ishou 囲障 (fence), and kakomikiji 囲み記事 (a column in a newspaper). In almost all compound nouns that are Go-related, you only see the go kanji 碁 used. For example, goban 碁盤 (go board), goishi 碁石 (go stones), rengo 連碁 (pair Go), shidougo 指導碁 (teaching Go), and in titles like Gosei 碁聖. They all use go 碁 because that is the name of the game!Lag free!!!

Hybrid Scanlines: ON
Hybrid Depth: 8
Width: 24
Sub-Brightness: 255
If you are going to tweak the Depth / Width make sure there are some pure white pixel clusters as very bright colors will be the most heavily impact in hybrid. Sonic's eye makes a good spot to check while having a variety of bright colors around to compare. You can see how big the difference between the dark brown in the back ground cliff is in terms of thickness compared to the bright greens, blues, and whites. It is a tough balance to walk, adjust to your preference.
Drop Sub-Brightness if you want softer scanlines. 225 will still be dark but give a very slight glow. 180-200 if you want soft. 140-160 if you want extremely soft. Below that is almost pointless, lol
Tweak width if you want them thicker or thinner. 8-16 if you want very thick scanlines. 30-36 for thin.
Turn on advanced mode and go into Color.
Adjust the RGB slider to 1.10 - 1.20 to brighten things up from the darkening effect of the scanlines. Depends on how you adjusted things above.
With regard to the Pac-Man Flashback Blast device (a controller and USB dongle), Bandai Namco alleges that AtGames created review units using the original and better-quality arcade game ROM, but for retail the units shipped with the Nintendo Entertainment System port. The discrepancy was so bad reviewers later issued warnings not to buy the device, which Bandai Namco’s lawsuit cites as an example of AtGames harming its business.
